My client, Small Machines,
requires 3 different types of media products. The first thing that they require
is a set of product shots which are for inclusion on packaging. This will allow
the audience for the product to know what the completed build will look like.
These product shots could also be useful for Small Machines to use when
advertising their product. The products that my client sells are available to
buy on several different websites which in the near future will include places
such as “ethical market”. By my client having professional looking product shots
its means that there will be a larger appeal to the audience as the products
are aimed at mothers who are professionals and therefore will want to buy sophisticated
products for the children. The products shots will allow for people to have a
large interest and want to buy the product.
Small
machines also require a short video, this is something that will be included on
their Etsy page which is another place where people can buy their products. The
short video will be audio-visual and will include shots of the workshop and
also a clip of the owner of Small Machines, Giles, talking. This is an
introduction for customers into the business and will attract them to buy the
products as it creates a personal experience as the audience get to “meet the
maker”. The video will be a way to ensure that there is a connection between my
client and their audience.
The
last media product that is going to be created for my client is a social media
campaign. This will include the organisation of Small Machines current social
media pages which include Instagram, Facebook and Twitter but also the creation
of other social media pages such as Pinterest. The links between all social
media pages need to be clear and therefore have easy and quick navigation from
page to page for the audience. There needs to be links which will allow easy
access to the places where Small Machines products can be bought across all
social media platforms. I am going to focus on ways in which will engage the
audience the most, finding which social media platform is the best to post on
and what audiences like. Then I will focus on what is going to be posted on
social media for example creating 15 to 30 second short videos that can be
posted on Instagram to demonstrate what Small Machines products can do. Also, I
will create pin boards on Pinterest which will be successful with the customers
for my client as it is aimed at middle ages women, this is the same target
audience as that of my clients.
